Description

The DMV suction cup holders have been a popular choice for many of our hard contact lens wearers, they make it very easy to remove hard contact lenses from their eyes and particularly easy to insert them.

DMV Ultra (using the straight edge) has been more popular in our experience with 70-80% of our patients preferring this product. Both suction cup holder types are the same price.

Made from Latex rubber, they may cause allergies in some people.

They come in a variety of assorted colours including orange, purple and blue.

How To Use

    • Wash your hands
    • Remove the DMV Ultra from the packet
    • Moisten the tip of the suction cup with saline or contact lens solution

    For Insertion

    • Place the hard contact lens centrally on the pre-moistened suction cup holder
    • Hold the suction cup holder in your dominant hand between your thumb and forefinger
    • Lift your top eyelid with the middle finger of your non dominant hand from the eyelash margin
    • Use the middle finger of your dominant hand to pull down your lower eyelid from the eyelash margin
    • Look slightly down and align the suction cup holder parallel to your eye between the eyelids
    • While looking down directly at the suction cup holder gently push the contact lens onto the eye
    • Pull the suction cup holder away

    For Removal

    • Rewet the suction cup holder
    • Hold the suction cup holder in your dominant hand
    • Use the thumb and index fingers on your non dominant hand to hold the eyelids open from the eyelash margin
    • While looking in a mirror, align the suction cup holder in a straight line with your eye
    • Make sure that you are looking directly at the suction cup holder and gently push the suction cup holder onto the contact lens so that you get suction
    • Pull the suction cup holder carrying the contact lens off your eye
