Soft Contact Lens Tweezers are silicone-tipped and made specifically for the handling of soft contact lenses.

This is a low cost product that helps to prevent damage to contact lenses when you remove them from the case.  Using the soft contact lens tweezers makes contact lens use healthier for the eyes because they reduce hand contact with the contact lens and your eyes.

They also prevent damage to the contact lenses and your eyes if you have long fingernails or are rough when handling them.

This item needs to be cleaned using soap and water or a contact lens cleaning solution (not saline) and left to air dry. Due to bacterial buildup, it should be strictly replaced every six months.

How To Use

  • Wash your hands.
  • Remove the soft contact lens tweezers from the packet.

For removal from the case

  • Remove the lid from the contact lens case.
  • Pinch the contact lens with the tweezers and lift the contact lens out of the case.

For insertion into the eye

  • Place the soft contact lens tweezers centrally between the two prongs on the soft lens handler.
  • Hold the soft contact lens tweezers carrying the lens in your dominant hand between your thumb and forefinger.
  • Lift your top eyelid with the middle finger of your non-dominant hand from the eyelash margin.
  • Use the middle finger of your dominant hand to pull down your lower eyelid from the eyelash margin. 
  • Look slightly down and align the soft contact lens tweezers parallel to your eye between the eyelids.
  • While looking down directly at the soft contact lens tweezers, gently push the contact lens onto the eye. 
  • Pull the soft contact lens tweezers away.

For removal from the eye

  • Hold the soft contact lens tweezers in your dominant hand between your thumb and forefinger.
  • Use the thumb and index fingers on your non-dominant hand to hold the eyelids open from the eyelash margin.
  • While looking in a mirror, align the soft contact lens tweezers in a straight line with your eye.
  • Make sure that you are looking directly at the soft contact lens tweezers. Gently squeeze the two prongs of the tweezers onto the contact lens so that you can pinch the contact lens off the eye.
  • Pull the soft contact lens tweezers carrying the contact lens off your eye.
